Around the time that Florida artist Joshua Noom created the design for this piece, a category 4 hurricane named Ian wreaked havoc on the Gulf Coast. It turned out to be one of the costliest storms to ever hit Southwest Florida. This experience is represented in the artwork Noom created. The ocean, the elements, and all manner of plants, animals, and sealife swirl about the design with frenetic energy, all seemingly caught in a raging tempest of tropical color. It is a once an appreciation for the strength, and a celebration of the beauty of the natural world that surrounds us.
