The printed Bird of Peace comes from an original hand stitched work by fibre artist Kim Donohoe, who used single-ply thread to capture every detail of plumage. The background panels come from unfinished works created in 1885 by artist William Morris, whose original pencil sketch lines can be seen where the designs remain incomplete. These were left in intentionally, to celebrate the profound beauty of the artistic process. Crafted from soft viscose, the fabric is a lighter, airier weight than our kimonos, with the same beautifully soft feel. They make a wonderful gift too!
